About Your Job:
As a GSE mechanic, You will be responsible to perform all required work in accordance with approved technical data, QE /QR standards and procedures; meeting the highest maintenance practices and safety to provide operational results as set by the unit.
You will also be responsible for the completion of any assigned tasks within the frame work of procedures and set time frames by performing effectively with an environment of time constrains and a high level of technical competency.
You will:-
•Ensure that all Ground equipment used by Line and Base Maintenance is maintained in a serviceable and safe condition and reported defects are rectified expediently   and is available to meeting maintenance requirements.
•Ensure that   all ground   equipment   go through   a    routine   periodic   inspection   in accordance with manufactures recommendations.
•Maintaining a log of periodic GSE inspections, rectifications, defects and actions are recorded.
•Liaison with the Purchasing Section to provide adequate spare support to ensure prompt return to service of unserviceable equipment.
•Making recommendations to reporting Manager for the purchase of additional and replacement ground support equipment.
•Providing the status report, equipment location regarding the serviceability   of ground equipment as required.
•Responsible for the completion of assigned tasks to provide satisfactory service to customers.
•To operate equipment or tooling relating to work area to meet time frame objectives for tasks.
•Able to  interpret   information   over  a  range  of  normal   activities  to  maintain  satisfactory  continuous operation.
•Able to predominantly   continue with assigned tasks without   supervision, under normal conditions.  To meet set productivity standards.
•Preform other department duties related to his position as directed by the head of department.
•Accountable to comply with the company health and safety policy.
•Take responsibility for own on-going personal development and growth of expertise.
•Train and develop other employees, for proper succession planning and risk management.

About You:
Relevant Vocational, Tertiary or Trade qualification
•     Diploma in Engineering
Approved Trade Apprenticeship
Through knowledge of aircraft ground support equipment
•     Experience in a corporate jet service center, ground equipment Support Company

Previous Experience: Essential:
Minimum 4 years relevant experience
•     At least One year Practical experience with Aircraft GSE support department.
•     Knowledge of GSE workshop fundamentals and related skills to his area of employment

Job Specific Skills: Essential:
•     English Language Communication Skills Essential
•     Ability to make clear, rational decisions under pressure
•     Read, understand and implement instructions from technical manuals and documents
•     Capable of determining the most appropriate tool(s) and equipment to perform the task at hand
•     Strong troubleshooting skills.
•     Detail oriented to ensure very high level of equipment serviceability
